Our Environment

The landscape industry contributes its share to the detriment of our planet, whether it is addition to landfill or transportation pollution it all impacts on our environment. Whilst recognising that construction methods have to be followed we will do our part to minimise our carbon footprint and waste disposal amounts by re-cycling as much material on site as we possibly can.

We will recycle materials as much as posible on site, for example using broken concrete for sub-base material. This reduces the need to quarry and transport fresh materials plus it reduces pressure on landfill sites with un-neccessary waste. We feel very strongly about waste generation and will re-cycle much of our waste at local waste transfer stations. Sensible re-cycling of materials saves you money and benefits us all.

We will always source ethically produced materials, all our stone suppliers have issued guarantees that they don’t use child labour and pay fair wages to employees – we understand that improvements always need to be made to aid development in other countries and hope that by checking the source of our products we are doing our bit to help. Wherever possible we use locally dug sands and gravels and will also minimise on site pollution to the best of our abilities.

We also only use timber bearing the FSC logo stating that it came from sustainable managed forest plantations, we have very close relationships with our supplier and would never use a hardwood product taken from threatened rainforest areas.
